Taenia Solium
The taenia solium is a parisitic tapeworm that infects humans, through pork. It has a flat ribbon body that can range from 2 to 3 meters when fully grown. Like most tapeworms it has a nervous system centered around a primitive brain comprised of fused ganglia. The nerve centers are at anterior ends and there are 2 longitudinal cords that run the length of the body that connect to the brain (they also connect to other nerves forming a ladder like nerve system). |
