Commonly known as the giant roundworm,Ascaris lumbricoides is a parisitic round worm that commonly infects the small intestines of humans (1/6 humans are infected by this or other roundworms) and causes Ascariasis. These worms can range from 12cm to 15cm and more than 2 billion people are infected by Ascariasis.
