Enterobius vermicularis
Enterobius Vermicularis is an intestinal parisitic pinworm that infects humans. Pinworms like this one have a very broad geographic range and commonly infect children. This species max growth is only a few milimeters. Like most nematodes pinworms including this species have a simplistic nervous system consisting of a ring of nervous tissue around the pharynx and ventral, lateral and dorsal nerve cords that run the length of the body. They also have sensory organs and bristles for touch. |
