The Red Tube Sponge can be found in shallow tropical waters and can also be seen in the color yellow. It is called the red tube sponge because it is more commonly seen in red. This type of sponge is a series of tubes, all coming from the same point/center, that can reach up to six feet and three inches in diameter. The red tube sponge eats small organisms such as plankton. Also, this type of sponge can reproduce both sexually and asexually. The red tube sponge can take as long as 100 years to grow, and their main predators are gastropods, such as snails.
