Nervous System
As well as the Giant Squid, the cuttlefish is a cephalopod Mollusca. The cuttlefish, however, has an even better developed nervous system than the Giant squid. Unlike other mollusks, cephalopods like the cuttlefish do not of an outer shell. Instead, the cuttlefish is a much smaller Giant Squid. Because of their nervous system, a cuttlefish's eyes are arguably the best in the animal kingdom. Their eyes are highly developed and some scientists use this to support the theory that they are predators. The cuttlefish's nervous system provides a complex behavioral pattern that can easily be compared to vertebrates instead of invertebrates which they are. Like all other mollusks, they have no internal or external skeletal system, and they can definitely be more dangerous than people think. Whether they choose to or not, cuttlefish can slip through small areas to attack prey, and they can camouflage themselves almost instantly to hide from predators. Their complex nervous system is able to send signals throughout the body instantly, and it is one of the most important and notable parts of the cuttlefish's body.
